About Your Wedding Day Photography | Local wedding photography services

 PRE-WEDDING PHOTO SESSION

Your photography coverage starts about 6 weeks before your Wedding Day with a pre-wedding photoshoot. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know each other a bit better, run through the schedule for the day and for you to ask any questions. We usually meet at the Reception venue so we can have a look around together and identify some lovely locations for you to be photographed on your Wedding Day - some of your first shots as Husband & Wife!

We then have a fun photo shoot which gives you the opportunity to feel what it is like being photographed and start to relax in front of the camera. There are so many things to think about and enjoy on your special day - we don't want you to be worrying about the photography.

We put the images online for you to view. You select your favourite, and we send you a print as a complimentary gift. You then select 25 or so images that you love and we design and create a unique guestbook, complete with images and lined pages for your guests to sign at the Wedding Breakfast.

PHOTOGRAPHIC COVERAGE OF YOUR DAY

Coverage typically begins about two hours before the ceremony with the preparations of the Bride and Groom. One of the benefits of having both Sue and Kevin photograph your Wedding is that we can capture both sides of the excitement and anticipation. Sue attends the Bride which takes away any uncomfortable feeling of having an unknown man in your bedroom on your Wedding Day!

For the Bride - Sue photographs the flowers, hair, make-up and dressing. Then we will do some informal and formal portraiture to show off the dress and you should allow about 30 minutes for this. Bridesmaids and parents will also be photographed, formally & informally.

For the Groom - Kevin photographs the boys being boys! Getting ready, joking around, practising their speeches. He often gets to go to the pub too!

Kevin will then go to the Ceremony venue to capture people arriving. Sue arrives there just before the bride, and after photographing the last minute preparations outside, takes her place quietly at the back of the venue.

The Bride takes a deep breath......and....it's begun!

The photojournalism continues with the arrival of the Bride and discreet coverage of the ceremony. Infrequently, ceremony photography is not be allowed so please ensure you check this.

AFTER THE WEDDING CEREMONY

Any formal family group shots you asked for will be taken now - efficiently and effectively. Organising groups can be very time consuming and sometimes people can become bored. Please consider this when you are thinking about your group shots. We recommend no more than 10.
We then leave your guests to enjoy their champagne for 20 - 30 minutes to take some beautiful contemporary portraits of the two of you - just married! This also gives you time together, time away to catch your breath.

Candid coverage of the day continues throughout the Reception, cake cutting, speeches and into the evening and your First Dance if you so choose.

Your special day will pass all too quickly, but we will have captured the complete story in photographs, from beginning to end. Then, whilst you relax on honeymoon, we carefully edit all your images and present them online in a personal passworded gallery for you to view. We work hard to make your images available as soon as possible and you may get to view them whilst you are still on honeymoon. You will instantly be able to relive the memories of your Wedding Day and see all the little details, your friends sharing a joke and often, things that you missed.

When you are ready, you will select the images for your album which will then be personally designed for you.

The beautiful unforgettable memory of your day is complete.
